about

"Arrival" is about coming to a conclusion of clarity. After enough time has passed, you get to a point where you're finally able to learn acceptance. Upon deep reflection, we are able to proceed forward.

The song in, and of itself, is a continuation of previous subject matters. The lyrics themselves resume where the first collaborative single, "SureStay" left off.

Strong expressions of deep connection and the fear of letting go, but the understanding of peace that comes once you have.

The raw emotions through the words written give a vital, yet universal experience of navigating through change.

Through the telling of those emotions and the sense of longing in them, "Arrival" provides that comfort through perspective. Touching on themes of change, self-reflection, and the special bond two people share.

lyrics

I’m at a loss for words
I thought the ending looked so clear
Nothing feels the same but
Not a thing has changed

So familiar it’s peculiar
It’s uncanny; make believe or
A reality

I was never meant for…

I’m feeling like I’m stuck
And the world around isn’t phasing me
In between where I hide
And the space in which I speak so freely

An anger on repeat
Slamming with resiliency
And self-soaking apathy
That’s slowly eating all of me

How could I ever leave?
How could I ever say goodbye?

(I know, that you’ve never left me)
I KNOW THAT YOU NEVER LEFT
(I will, never let you know)
I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO
(I hope you always know)
I HOPE THAT YOU ALWAYS KNOW
(I will take you with me everywhere I go)
TAKE YOU WITH ME EVERYWHERE I GO

Take you with me everywhere I go
Everywhere

Do you mind?
